Leaving my daughter at a lego brock playing center, I'm now having a small break at a nearby cafe, studying the script of a movie "a few good men " to practice English.
I don't think I can improve my English just by watching a movie unless I study the lines to carefully detect the unfamiliar words and phrases.

I haven't understood it when Tom Cruise said "and the hits keep on coming" until I checked it out here.

Today is the last day of the four consecutive holidays in Singapore.

As it was raining a little this morning, we took a visit to an indoor amusement place where my kid can play with lots of playground equipment.

Chasing each other in a complicatedly built jungle gym is a good aerobic excercise even to me. I hope my waist size has shrinked a little. Hehe.

They have been married for 14 years.

14 years have passed since they married.

"You could get bills passed that would help the people."
---- from The Best Laid Plans, Sidney Sheldon.

dry one's tears「涙を拭く」

He stepped close to her and took out a handkerchief to dry her tears.

She felt a chill.

Sidney Sheldon

Lean

Lean forward

He leaned forward and said "・・・・・"

Start practicing English again

The Chinese exam for which I had been preparing was over the day before yesterday. Unfortunately, it didn't seem that I made it.
I have to start from scratch to prepare for the next Chinese exam.
But, for now, why don't I just enjoy practicing English after a long interval?

I started reading a novel of Sidney Sheldon titled "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
Shedon's story is very easy to read, so it's a good rehabilitation for me.

Although I can follow the story, I still face a lot of words and expressions that I don't know. I stil have a lot to learn about English, too.

But, it's really fun to read a lot in English.
Today I had a chance to talk with my colleague in UK in English over the phone in the office. That made me happy, too.

"Sorry! I called the wrong number!"

"Sorry. I have the wrong number."

from cell phone

Now I'm sitting on the seat of train on my way back home. When I write something deep like topics about uscpa exam, I have to use Japanese to complete my article. But, when it comes to such a casual diary as the one today, now I make it a rule to put it in English, even when I post an article from my cell phone as today.
I want to practice English whenever I have a chance for that!!
