【4:35 a.m.】

Good Morning!

Ah, I couldn't wake up as early as I planned...
I know why. I had a glass of wine at dinner yesterday.
I shouldn't take alcohol any more till I pass the exam, otherwise...

By the way, around 40 people visited my blog yesterday. I was very surprised, because the average is 15, and so far 20 was the record high hits. But it was 40 yesterday. Is it because I gave a detailed explanation about a MCQ of BEC yesterday, or because I did it in Japanese?

I think the latter affected stronger, because I often talk about specific topic from USCPA in this blog in English, but my blog had never recorded such a high number of hits. Then, should I keep this diary in Japanese? Maybe, no. As I mentioned before, I have never stayed in any other country but in Japan. I'll never have such a chance from now on, either. My job doesn't require me to use English on a daily basis. So, if I don't use English here on my blog, I have no chance to use, practice, and learn English in my life. And I believe that the traditional visitors of 15 are somehow interested in my English blog, so I think I should keep this in English.

For compensation, please let me introduce some useful websites to learn English.

1. 英辞郎 on the web provided by ALC
--- you can consult a dictionary for an English word on the web, which is much easier than actually turning the pages of a real paper dictionary. Compared with the other web dictionaries, 英辞郎 is superior in that it provides a lot of examples and linguistic analysis at times.

2. Online News Hour
--- you can check out recent news here. Learners of English, including me, can improve our listening comprehension ability by listening actual news with transcript of what they actually told in the news.

3. Make it happen- passing the CPA exam by 2006
( http://blog.goo.ne.jp/justdoitbaby )

--- MS. JUSTDOITBABY's blog in English. She is a candidate for USCPA exam. I don't particularly know about her background. But I can tell her English is very natural and could be said more authentic (real) English in that sense. I suppose my English is easy to understand especially to Japanese readers because my English is based on what I learned in my past preparation for Japanese univ. entrance exams, so-called JUKEN-EIGO, which is helpful enough to get 990 in TOEIC, but is not enough to acquire the perfect command of English. JUSTDOITBABY-san's English much more sounds like that of native speakers, I think. So I recommend her blog, especially if you're a candidate of USCPA exam like me.

And lastly, I introduce you the wine that I had last night.
It's "REDWOOD CREEK" made in California. Red wine is usually astringent and I'm not so fond of red wine. But this one is an exception. It's very fruity and the price is 980 yen, so reasonable!
